Conscience-Driven Leadership Studio

CDL Studio

CDL Studio is a group coaching container built around live leadership work.

Each session is structured as a fishbowl. A small group of leaders brings real, active challenges into the center of the room and works with me directly, while the rest of the group participates as observers.

This isn’t passive watching. The learning happens by tracking patterns, noticing resonance, and seeing how decisions, dynamics, and accountability play out in real time.

Studio is where leadership becomes visible.

How the Studio works

Before each session, participants complete a short pulse survey to surface:

  • who wants to work live in the fishbowl

  • what decisions, tensions, or questions are most active

From there, a group of 4–6 leaders is invited into the fishbowl for direct coaching.

I open each session by setting the frame and close by integrating what emerged across the work. Everyone has space to speak during the opening and wrap-up, even if they’re not working live that day.

A skilled moderator supports the session by tracking themes, surfacing questions from the gallery, and helping maintain clarity and flow.

Sessions are themed, but not scripted. The work follows what’s real.

Why this format works

Leaders don’t just learn from their own challenges. They learn by watching how others think, decide, hesitate, and move.

CDL Studio is designed to make that learning explicit.

It’s especially effective for leaders who want:

  • exposure to real leadership work beyond their own situation

  • sharper pattern recognition

  • language for dynamics they sense but haven’t fully named

  • meaningful learning without needing to be in the hot seat every time

Observation is not secondary here. It’s part of the practice.

Who Studio is for

CDL Studio is for leaders who:

  • are carrying real responsibility

  • want depth without isolation

  • value learning through live work and shared insight

  • are ready to engage seriously, even when they’re not the one being coached

Some participants come primarily to work live.

Others come to listen, track, and integrate.

Both are legitimate ways to be in the room.

Joining

Studio runs in three-month cycles.

How this fits with the rest of the work

CDL Studio is distinct from:

  • Leadership Partnership, which offers private, high-touch 1:1 work

  • The Circle, which provides a broader community and orientation space

Many leaders participate in Studio alongside other forms of engagement, but each container is designed to stand on its own.
